Pho Grand Flushing

A new location near the heart of Flushing. Pho Grand is nicely decorated-the nicest I e been to yet. We ordered pho because it was a rainy day and needed comfort food. We both ordered the pho Tai which is the raw eye round that is super thin and cooks within seconds of being submerged in the hot soup base. The bowl is a generous portion of noodles and beef. I will say, the broth is good but I have had better. We also ordered the fried spring rolls appetizer which came out after our bowls of pho were served. The spring rolls were hot right out of the fryer. Once cool enough, we gobbled them down. Service is pretty good for the most part except for the one server that was in a rush to take our order and get us out of there.

I did takeout order today, so I can’t give a review for service and atmosphere. However, can anyone tell me why the takeout order came with a mountain of white rice and barely any meat? This container is full with rice! Only these much of beef! We dined in yesterday and ordered the chicken over rice—the rice portion was normal (just a small bowl) and the meat portion was reasonable. Did they pack this much rice just to make the takeout container feel heavier? I don’t get it.

This place is honestly so beautiful, but what makes it special for me is the people. I feel really grateful because most places I go to, I’ve been lucky to meet kind and welcoming staff and this restaurant is no exception. When I like a place, I tend to go back often, and now they already recognize me and greet me, which makes me so happy. I love that familiar feeling 🤣 The first time I went, I wanted to try pho. I had tried it before in Chinatown and didn’t love it, but I decided to give it another chance and I’m so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious. Also, the bowl is HUGE… I’m pretty sure it’s bigger than my head 🤣🤣 You can easily share one between two people, especially if you like to share dishes. But what I love the most is their bánh mì. The pork is soft, slightly sweet, and full of flavor. I had never had a sandwich like that before it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve tried. I always enjoy it with the jalapeños on the side. Lately, I’ve been trying more items from the menu, and I have to say nothing has disappointed me. The calamari is crispy and delicious, and there was a dish I tried recently (I wish I remembered the name!) with a large, tender piece of meat

Cute place!! The servers were so cute and kind too! The grilled pork wasn’t my fav but still tasty. While the beef dish was delicious!

Great Pho restaurant in Flushing with good tasting food. We came here with a group of 7 people and got seated pretty quickly. They have several tables that can fit a group of that size. Service was nice and the food came out quickly. The large pho has a lot of noodles and a good amount of meat. Definitely filling! We also tried the crispy spring rolls and the pork chop over rice which tasted ! The price was decent and they have a large shared parking lot. I also got take out before and also had a good experience that time as well!
